The Sephora eye makeup remover gel is a waterproof makeup removing agent plus a eye soother. It comes in a 4 oz. bottle with a pump for easy application. It is formulated without any sulfates, paraben, and phthalates. What I usually like to do with the makeup remover is to apply it to a soft cotton pad or ball and then apply directly to my eyes and swipe away. It claims to gently remove the makeup in one swift gesture but it really does not. I have to swipe over plenty of times for it to actually move, and I am not talking about waterproof makeup but rather makeup in general. It takes a little more effort that I would like to use but eventually it gets everything off without leaving an oily residue behind. Which can be a good thing or as far as waterproof makeup is considered, removing waterproof mascara was the biggest challenge. I was tugging a lot to make it come off my lashes and I ended up losing a few hairs in the process.

Removing waterproof makeup, especially mascara, has always been a hassle for me. So when I get chances to try out waterproof makeup removers I jump on it right away! See how I liked the Sephora 2-in-1 Eye Makeup Remover Gel which is supposed to remove makeup plus relax eyes as well.

This just did not happen once but plenty of times. I think the fault is in the formula of this makeup remover. It is a gel plus liquid formula and it just is not enough to make the makeup come off easily. Also, this is a “soothing” formula which helps relaxes eyes but in reality it makes my eyes sting a bit. It says it is safe for contact lens wearers yet it still irritated my eyes (nothing major, but I definitely felt a little stinging). Though, the coolness of the formula makes my eyes feel good but what good is it if it stings if I accidentally get some in my eyes. So basically, this is definitely not one of the best eye makeup removers I have tried and it definitely is no where close on my favorites list. BUT, I will finish up this product to remove regular makeup but for waterproof makeup I will be sure to stay away since no one likes losing precious eyelash hairs!
