Why it’s cult:
Everybody in the Cult’s getting tipsy! Serious skin, hair and body care heroes that don’t take themselves super seriously, Drunk Elephant’s rise to the top of the industry pops has been (rightfully!) meteoric. Founded by Tiffany Masterson who wanted to formulate products without any ‘fillers’, this all-star collection is powered by biocompatible actives – a mix of synthetic and plant-derived extracts – that skin recognises and knows what to do with. And, because of their ingredient-elimination philosophy, you won’t find any of the following ‘Suspicious 6’ – drying alcohols, silicones, SLS, chemical screens, essential oils or fragrances/dyes – so you can ‘reset’ your complexion and help both your skin and your tresses to flourish like never before.
Description:
Introducing Drunk Elephant’s all-new and utterly must-have hair and body range, created by the brand’s CEO, Tiffany because “Skin is skin – and whether we call it the scalp or the eye area or the legs, it can only function at its healthiest when it’s treated with smart, nourishing, skin-compatible ingredients. All skin deserves to be respected with ingredients it can get along with.” Created in collaboration with professional hair stylist – and creator of ‘The Rachel’ haircut – Chris McMillan, together they created a line of hair care that focuses on the scalp – products that dissolve years of buildup while nourishing hair with biocompatible proteins and oils. The rest just grew from there. An intelligent AHA/BHA scalp scrub, this has been specifically designed to work its magic within a short period of time (5 – 10 minutes to be exact). After 10 minutes, simply massage the cellulose beads through and rinse. Blended with glycolic, tartaric, lactic and citric acids to dissolve dead cells and buildup as well as marula, mongongo, baobab seed and passionfruit oils to moisturise, nourish, rejuvenate and soothe, this multi-tasking marvel will revive scalp health for a happier head of hair.
How to use:
Before showering, when hair is dry, apply directly to a dry scalp and massage. Allow to sit for 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly and follow with Cocomino Shampoo and Conditioner. Use 1 – 2 times per week.
Tip: May also be used on body.
